Ned is a medium-sized, roundish apple from Marietta, Pennsylvania, with yellow skin shaded and striped in dark red with conspicuous light dots. The flesh is white, tender, juicy, and mildly subacid. It keeps from December to February and is rated good to very good for fresh eating.
