Family is a small to medium summer apple that originated in Georgia, with roundish ovate fruit marked with red stripes and russet dots over pale yellow ground. The flesh is firm, crisp, and juicy with a sprightly subacid flavor becoming mild, rated as good in quality. Not recommended for cultivation in New York, though it keeps from October to January in the Geneva climate.
