A large, roundish-oblate autumn sweet apple with yellow skin, sometimes blushed. The flesh is whitish tinged with yellow, fine-grained, moderately juicy, and notably sweet with spicy notes. Highly regarded in the mid-19th century but now seldom found in cultivation.
