Madeleine
Malus domestica Borkh. Borkh.
Dessert
Madeleine is a small, roundish dessert apple with yellowish-white skin, orange-tinged next the sun, and a white, crisp, tender, juicy flesh. It ripens in late August and is of good but second-rate quality. The tree is vigorous and readily distinguished by the extreme hairiness of its leaves and shoots.
