Limbertwig
Malus domestica Borkh. Borkh.
Dessert
The Small or Red Limbertwig is an attractive, deep red apple with good keeping quality, well-suited for storage and shipping. Its flesh is yellowish, hard, and moderately fine, with aromatic subacid flavor and fair to good quality. The tree is thrifty and an excellent cropper. The Large or Green Limbertwig variant is much larger but of inferior quality and keeps less well.
