White Joaneting is an ancient English dessert apple renowned as the earliest apple of the season, ripening in mid-July. The small, straw-yellow fruit with occasional red flush has crisp white flesh and a fresh flavour. Its ancient origins (before 1600) and early season make it a heritage variety of historical significance.
