Honeycrisp is a premium fresh-eating apple developed by the University of Minnesota from a Haralson × Keepsake cross. It features very crisp white flesh with honey-like sweetness balanced by slight tartness, making it excellent for eating fresh and for storage, though quality can vary between individual fruits.
