Green Cheese
Malus domestica Borkh. Borkh.
Culinary
An old Southern and Southwestern variety widely disseminated under many names. The medium, pale greenish-yellow fruit ripens November to March with tender, crisp, juicy flesh that is rich and sprightly subacid. The tree is moderately vigorous, blooms late, and is a good long-keeping bearer, making it valuable for the South and Southwest despite only very good quality.
