Grand Sultan
Malus domestica Borkh. Borkh.
Culinary
A Russian variety producing medium to large, round oblate conic fruit with greenish-yellow skin and white bloom. The flesh is white, firm, juicy, and fragrant with a subacid flavor, suitable for fresh eating and cooking. It ripens very early, about a week before Yellow Transparent, but is perishable and prone to water-coring and rot if left on the tree too long.
