Bramley is the United Kingdom's most widely sold cooking apple, developed in Nottinghamshire in 1809. This triploid cultivar produces large green fruits with a red flush that are prized for traditional British puddings, and can also be used for juice and cider production. The fruits are typically harvested in mid-October and store well through February.
