A medium-sized roundish-conical apple with rich yellow color washed and striped with red. The flesh is granular and tender with a mild subacid flavor and good quality. It was developed in Clinton County, New York from a cross of Westfield (Seek-No-Further) and Hubbardston, and was primarily grown in its region of origin as a winter apple lasting from October to January.
