Ralls Janet
Malus domestica Borkh. Borkh.
Dessert
Ralls is a southern apple that produces superior fruit quality in warmer climates like the Ben Davis regions, though it develops only fair quality when grown in Western New York and Michigan. The fruit is moderately attractive with dull coloring but excellent keeping quality and flavor retention through late season. The variety is extensively cultivated in southern and western states under various names but remains practically unknown among New York fruit growers.
