A small to medium oblong-conic apple with pale yellow or whitish skin and white, fine-textured flesh. The flavor is pleasant and subacid, rated good to very good. The tree is a moderate grower that comes into bearing young and produces well, with fruit ready in August and September. It was cultivated in parts of the western United States but was little known in New York by Beach's time and not recommended for planting there.
