A medium-sized dessert apple with a dull yellow and brownish-red flush, firm and pleasantly flavoured flesh. Raised by Mr. Manser and introduced by G. Bunyard & Co. in 1895, it is valued for small gardens due to its exceptionally fertile, compact growth habit and reliable cropping.
