Dessert
Elgin Pippin is a yellow dessert apple of good size and attractive appearance, belonging to the Fall Pippin class. It has firm, crisp flesh with a subacid flavor and a juicy texture. Although meritorious, it does not excel other varieties of its season and is not recommended for planting in New York, with a harvest season extending from September to December.
