Arnold
Dessert
Arnold is a medium-sized apple with a light yellow skin and russet netting, developed by Charles Arnold in Ontario from a deliberate cross of Northern Spy with Wagener and Esopus Spitzenberg pollen. The flesh is firm, juicy, and mildly subacid with slight aromatic character. Though promising for home use, it was considered too light in color and tender for commercial markets.
