Arkansas Black
Dessert
Arkansas Black is a strikingly beautiful apple with deep red to nearly black coloring on a yellow background. The firm, crisp flesh is sprightly and subacid with good to very good flavor. It is an excellent keeper lasting from December into April or beyond, though the tree is unproductive and not recommended for general planting.
