An autumn to early-winter apple of the Fameuse group, resembling McIntosh but firmer and slightly more acidic. The flesh is white, firm, crisp, and juicy with mild, pleasant flavor. It originated in Ontario and is valued as an attractive dessert fruit, though considered inferior to Fameuse in quality.
